The story behind the design:
Absorbed in our systematic routines of consumption, our president’s request to maintain our consumption levels was a comfortable one. Commercialism is ingrained in our soul as like the Gospel. As cash registers ring and shopping carts squeak, the pocketbooks of the one percent benefit, and greed grows in the land of the free. The deficit of the government balloons while corporations get huge tax breaks. The hawks circle, and the shopping carts are overfilling with inequality.
